Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test or in short JK SET is an eligibility test to shortlist eligible candidates for the post of assistant professor in various colleges and universities of Jammu and Kashmir.
JK SET exams are conducted in each year to fill the vacancies arising in each year.
The JK SET exams are conducted by the university of Kashmir. Previously the University of Kashmir published a date for the exam which was postponed later.

The university of Kashmir first published the date of JK SET on may 15th 2022, but the examination was postponed to 24th July 2022 for some unknown reason.
The university of Kashmir has decided to conduct the exams in three centers, being – Srinagar, Jammu and Leh.
The applications for the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test 2022 was concluded on January 20th.
The notification for the JK SET was released on December 10th 2021 in the official website www.set.uok.edu.in.
The application form 2022 was released on December 20, 2021 which was to be submitted online before 20th Jan.

Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test
Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test is a State level eligibility examination to filter out eligible candidates in various posts under different colleges under the university of Kashmir each year.
The Kashmir university conducts the SET exam yearly for around 38 subjects including science subjects, arts subjects, law, management, music, theology, languages including Persian, Sanskrit and social sciences etc.

JK SET Other Information
The eligibility criteria for attending the JK SET are set up by the exam conducting authority.
The candidates appearing for the exam must fulfill a few criteria. The candidates must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
The Ph.D. candidates gets a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks and post graduates appearing for JK SET also gets a relaxation of 5% aggregate marks.
The candidates under general category have to obtain 55% mark and reserve category candidates have to obtain 50 percentage marks in the qualifying exam.
Candidates qualified in the NET, SLET, UGC, CSIR JRF exams need not attend the JK SET to be eligible to be appointed in colleges.
The selection process for the JK SET include the following steps, First fill the application form in the correct manner in the official website of the exam, http://set.uok.edu.in.
Then the accepted candidates will be provided with an admit card to appear for the exam.
The University of Kashmir declares the JK SET result on their official website and on the official website of the exam.
Six per cent of the total appearing candidates who qualify both papers are declared qualified for the eligibility of Assistant Professor in the universities and colleges of J&K and Ladakh.

Admit Card 2022
The JK SET conducting authority will issue an admit card/ hall ticket to every candidate who successfully applied for the exam in online mode through the official website http://set.uok.edu.in. Or http://www.jammuuniversity.ac.in.
To attend the exam on 24th July 2022, candidates are required to download the admit card and have to carry it to the center during their exam.
The Admit Card 2022 will be issued on 12th July 2022.

- Click on the admit card link provided in the website
- Enter the required login details without any error.
- There will be a download option on the redirected page, click on the download option.
- Print a copy of the admit card and keep it securely for attending the exam.
