Krithi Krithivasan is an Indian businessman who served Tata Consultancy Services for more than 30 years. He will be taking over as the CEO and MD of TCS in the financial year 2024.

Krithi Krithivasan aka K. Krithivasan was born in 1965 (age 58 years; as of 2023). He did his schooling at E. R. Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. In 1985, he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in Tamil Nadu. In 1986, he pursued a master’s degree in Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.

In 1989, the alumnus of IIT Kanpur joined Tata Consultancy Services. Throughout his tenure at TCS, he worked as the executive vice president of Tata Consultancy Services and held several positions in various departments including delivery, customer relationship management, and sales.
Krithivasan has assisted significant clients with IT programme governance, creating value beyond cost minimization, accelerating the change management cycle, and digital transformation. Before his appointment as the CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, he served as the president and global head of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Business Group at TCS.
He is said to take charge as TCS’s new managing director and CEO from 15 September 2023. Krithivasan is also a member of the Board of Directors of TCS Iberoamerica, TCS Ireland, and the supervisory board of TCS Technology Solutions AG.
