  • She played kho kho, athletics, and volleyball during her childhood and played cricket occasionally with the boys in her neighbourhood.
  • She started training in cricket formally at the MAC Spin Foundation under the coach Peter Fernandez at the age of seventeen.
  • Her parents were not happy with her decision to become a professional cricketer; however, they started supporting her when got selected for the Under-19 Tamil Nadu team.
