UPSC IES Admit card
Union Public Service Commission had conducted the prelims Indian Engineering Exam 2022 on February 20, 2022.
There were 42 centers across India where the exam was conducted.
The mains exam of IES for the year 2023 will be conducted in the month of June 26, 2022.
The IES Admit card 2022 will be released in the third or last week of May.
Once the candidate has downloaded the admit card, he must check whether is any error in the UPSC IES Admit card.
If there is any discrepancies, he must report the same to the officials of Union Public Service Commission by sending an email to [email protected]
within June 11, 2022.
UPSC IES Admit card release date 2022
The Union Public Service Commission has released the admit card for the prelims examination on January 31st, 2022.
If there is any error in the admit card, the candidate may email to [email protected].
The UPSC IES Admit card clearly says that “It may also be noted that entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination i.e. 09:50 A.M. for the Forenoon Session and 01:50 P.M. for the Afternoon Session.
No candidate shall be allowed the entry into the Examination Venue after closure of the entry.”
It also reads, “Candidates should also note that they shall not be allowed to appear at any other Examination Venue except the Examination Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card.”
UPSC IES Exam date 2022
The last date for applying the IES Examination was October 12, 2021. The mains examination will be held on 26th June, 2022.
As declared by the Union Public Service Commission, there is a total vacancy of 247 posts.
There are three stages of examination:
- Preliminary examination: The examination consists of two papers- i) General Studies and Engineering aptitude and ii) Engineering Feild
This consist of objective type questions.
- Mains examination: The examination consists of two papers- i) Paper I- Engineering Stream and ii) Paper II – Engineering Stream
- Personality test
The Prelims examination has already been held and the result has been announced by UPSC.
The candidates who have passed the examination will only be eligible to write Mains examination which will be held on June 26, 2022.
The cut off mark will decided after the examination but it does not guarantees selection.

IES Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the examination, the candidate needs to fulfil the eligibility criteria:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India
- The candidate must be 18 years of age and should not exceed 25 years of age, i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004 shall apply for the examination
- The candidate must pass 10th exam or its equivalent exam from a recognised State board.
How to get an online UPSC IES Admit card 2022
The Prelims and Mains admit cards are released separately.
The candidates who have passed the prelims examination will only be eligible for the Mains admit card.
Candidates can download the UPSC IES Admit card by the following steps:
You have to visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission and select the option of “Examinations” from the drop down menu.
Than you have to select “Active Examination” and a link to the ‘Engineering Services Examination 2022 will appear.
Click on IES Admit Card 2022 and fill your registration number/roll number. The candidate’s admit card will appear. You may download and take a print of it.
Admit card will have the following details:
- The name of Staff Selection Commission along with its symbol so as to verify the genuineness of the admit card.
- Applicant name
- Registration number
- The candidate‘s date of birth
- Father‘s and mother’s name
- Exam date
- Time of the exam
- Place of exam
- Other important information which a candidate should follow
